Christine and Vincent present their Coteaux Champenois Rosé 2017, 100% Meunier, Single-parcel.
A still very rare still wine in the Champagne wine-growing environment, produced in only 600 copies. A small quantity because this exception comes from their only plot "La Champagne".
Making coteaux champenois on the plot "Champagne" was fun for me, especially since it was a young vine that behaves like the old stocks of yesteryear. But, beyond this wink, close to a house, we changed our practices there at the end of 2016 for experimental practices and more advanced in terms of environmental protection "explains the winemaker. For this first harvest 2017, the use of the lunar calendar and natural fertilizers, already bring a very original typicity and aroma.
A citrus and red fruit nose, a tender, round mouth and tart at the same time, this rosé hillside reveals aromas of mandarin, blackberry and raspberry which go perfectly with a supreme of sautéed pigeon with oranges, a terrine of wild boar or a snail crostini.
This rosé is part of the gastronomic, generous and convivial wines of the cool seasons.
